Dalí was the first artist to understand television, and he paid for it: the late work is surrounded by more forgery and unauthorised reproduction than any other twentieth-century name.
That makes the paperwork the point. The Divine Comedy woodblocks, the Biblia Sacra lithographs and the bronzes cast in his lifetime are all collectable — and all extensively faked.
