Ceramics, etchings and lithographs from the long late period
The paintings are museum property now, but Picasso spent the last twenty-five years of his life making editioned work at Vallauris and Mougins — ceramics, linocuts, etchings — and that is where a private collection can still begin.
The Madoura ceramics in particular are a genuine entry point: made under his direction, editioned, stamped, and still available in the low tens of thousands.
We check every edition against the Ramié and Bloch catalogues before we recommend it.
